10 Distractions That Stop You from Succeeding Every Day

Successful people know that the key to their achievements come from them doing the right thing at the right time but if you`re not attaining this level it can be because you’re allowing yourself to be distracted all of the time instead of using your time more efficiently

When I was young we had a sea shell in our good room.

We were told that if you pick it up and place it by your ear and listen intently then you`ll hear the waves of the ocean. I was fascinated by this. Not only because I wanted to hear the flush of the sea waves but also because I was so aware of what the waves sounded like.

Because we lived right by the Atlantic ocean.

So for me, it was a test. And for fleeting moments when placing the shell to my ear I`d hear something. But I wasn’t completely sure it was the crashing of the waves that I was so familiar with when I saw it hit the rocks near my house.

Later on, in life, I found out that there was no science to this story we were told as children.

But I knew I heard something or did I imagine it all because I was told it?

When I started checking it out I found that seashells of this sort give more to us than a reminder of the sea. They have healing properties. But then, I`m not too surprised with this. Because when you live with nature you`ll notice there is deeper resonance in the world for us all.

And in it, there is pure bliss.

That bliss contains an audio hum of what’s going on on our planet and in our lives. Yet we rarely pay attention to it all. Instead, many of us live our lives in distraction.

And it makes no sense as it will only stop us from attaining whatever we wish to succeed at in our world.

Not only that but our brains can only do one task properly at a time so if we’re multitasking we are being distracted from what’s the most important thing to focus on that will direct us towards our goal.

So what are common daily distractions that most people do and how can they avoid them to focus on that hum of nature’s reality that will best direct us to a more successful future?

  1. Mobile phones and technology are great for information but every time you’re on it it’s robbing you moments of presence.

And by being present that’s where you get ideas. Ideas are what can help you move forward and make life better for you.

Charging your mobile phone during the day away from you will give you a time when you can go for a walk alone or spend time doing other chores.

2. Music is my jam but it gets sticky when it doesn’t make me flow.

Because many people listen to hours of music throughout the day but it may not marry with the energy they need to have for specific tasks and people they need to meet with on a given day.

By switching your music to sounds of nature instead, it will give you an easier way to let creative thoughts through.

3. Loud car engines will mean you`re in control on the road but do they mean you’re driving your future?

Because when you`re not driving and sitting outside your house and hearing a car go by you`ll notice how the engine can interrupt the easy sounds of your thoughts.

So imagine how the animals feel who live by the roadside?

If we can give ourselves greater times of silence away from traffic we can give ourselves opportunities to grow.

4. Television has a wealth of information but it sucks your emotions in.

Because that’s how the program producers get their ratings up.

By being aware of this we can more carefully choose better things to view that will educate us rather than working on our feeble weaknesses of mind.

5. Social media can be informative if you follow the right people but most people don’t and so get led down the wrong path of thoughts.

As not every influencer is giving you the best advice that will push you forward. So you need to purge who you follow and question which ones help you in your lifestyle and career.

6. The radio was a great invention but the advertisements on it are too random.

And they seep into your subconscious and push you to buy things you do not need. By turning off the radio and giving yourself space to analyze what you need with your money you`ll make better choices as a consumer.

7. Text and email notifications on your phone interfere with your regular workflow.

So by turning them off in the settings you`ll be able to focus on what you need to do for longer.

8. Weather forecasts build anxiety about your plans.

And it stops you from living in the moment. By avoiding watching the weather forecasts all of the time you`ll allow yourself to spend more quality time outside.

9. Paying attention to publications on money makes you fearful.

Because most people have financial worries going on in the background of their minds. So if you consciously ignore promotions on anything to do with the money you`ll give yourself a greater gap of time where you can make it instead.

10. Thinking about the pressures of work will not get it done.

As no matter what you do you`ll have to take action and earn a living in some way. So you`re better off working at what you love and focusing on it to grow and then you won’t be distracted by how working at something else would be more fun.

And when you`ve all these distractions looked after and you change the way you live your day make sure to take a moment, put your ear to the seashell, and know that what you`re hearing is a vibrational hum that echoes the proper frequency of this planet.

When you listen to it know that that's where your silent success lies within you.
