6 Reasons To Learn in Your Twenties
Life has a funny way of catching up with us so it's important to be aware of what we do in our twenties so we know how to live better later on
The party ends.
And when it does you’re the only one who has to clean up.
But your twenties is about getting out and about and feeling that fresh rush of independent living and meeting new people all of the time along the way. So if live through it correctly it can set you up for a better life later on.
It’s a time when you`ve also got cash that you never had when you were in your teens. Then you may have had a determination to get out and socialize but you never had the finances to do it. By the time you hit your twenties, it’s your time to shine.
But like your childhood years that end abruptly when hat first rush of puberty sets in and similar to your teen years that eventually click into your twenties, your twenties too will come to a halt.
And they will do suddenly.
Then when they do you must be ready for the next chapter in life. Because if you`re not you`ll be lost in these great years and all else around you will move on.
So when father time throws you forward into your thirties make sure to learn things in your twenties. Otherwise, you’ll be behind others and find it tricky to catch up.
Here are some of the things you`ll need to go through:
1. You’re not as outgoing as you think you are.
Many people in their twenties feel they have a big personality. They think they have some form of copyright on being the only one who has such a great way about them. Their friends laugh with them and they think everyone else sees them as being fresh, new, and original.
But most of the time they aren’t.
Instead, they are just energetic. And although this is a great trait to show in your persona it’s not original.
Yet many older people love to be around this type of energy as they can recall when they felt the same way in their lives. But they may not feel that way anymore because they`ve lived a few more years and have found what they brought to the world in their twenties got squashed, pushed back by others, or diminished by life’s stresses and strains.
So if you`re in your twenties now make sure to use that energy well.
2. Your friends in your twenties will not always be around you in years to come.
Because they`ll go another route in life that’s different than where you`re going. Sure, they may do similar things to you but they`ll do it their way and not yours. And that may involve them being in a different location to you so you won’t see them as much as in your earlier years.
And because much of what happens in life is based on proximity you`ll need to accept that person won’t be around when you want them.
But that doesn’t mean they won’t be your friends forever.
Because the seeds you set in this first decade of your adult years through your relationship building will be the same way you`ll build in the following decades with others.
That’s why it’s important to build relationships in the best possible way.
3. Those you meet in your twenties will recognize you throughout the next decades of your life.
And this is a good thing.
But you can also make it a bad thing too. Because if you don’t show them the true person you are their memories can bite you back in years to come. As they`ll have observed you and have seen the way your real character is. So you`ll need to show consistency going forward and if you do they`ll trust you and be more aware of you as you develop in life.
And they`ll look at you more fondly than they would have many others because you’ll be part of the memories they`ll have from their twenties when they felt as if they too could conquer the world!
4. What you put into your body in your twenties will dictate its health later on.
So make sure what you ingest is serving you.
Because too many people think they can eat and drink anything but within a few years they suddenly develop some form of intolerance or inability to digest certain foods. This can mean many will go on medication and before you know it it’s too late to turn the clock back on what you should have not taken.
And although excessive drinking and taking drugs may be fun at the time it can drive you into habits that are not going to serve you as your body ages and it’s unable to recover like it was when it was much younger.
5. What you work at in your twenties can dictate what opportunities you get for the rest of your life.
Because what your brain learns to do when you`re very young will hardwire into your psyche.
So make sure to choose a career that’s interesting to you or that you feel you can improve at.
Because even though many chose the road to the greatest amount of money in their twenties the truth is money comes and goes but your understanding of your industry will only increase if you learn more about it early on.
And that’s when you can earn big money years down the line.
