When I was very young we had only one televisions station. Back then you watched what you were shown. The choice was not an option.

Since then, the increase in the number of television stations on offer is phenomenal.

So much so that it seems people have too much choice.

When you see Netflix offering such a plethora of programs and they are all organized into subsets dictated by a variety of interests it makes the selection of choice easier. But when you see they offer a shuffle option so that viewers can select to watch things at random you begin to see how many people don’t do well with having too much to choose from.

In that way, the vast choice of TV channels and Netflix shows out there is a lot like life.

Because there are many ways to live your life and to make an income. Yet most people seem to get overawed by it all and default back into the random shuffle of life and work. And then the years pass and they are doing the same thing over and over again daily.

Yet, don’t get me wrong our brains love routine.

But when you are in a routine that you don’t enjoy it proves that somewhere along the line of having so many choices you fell into the wrong one. And that’s when you look back and realize you could have done more and should have done things differently. That’s when you become a follower.

Whereas if you made some subtly different choices along the way you could have been a leader in your life.

Still, it’s not too late to change.

So here are 6 reasons you can learn to become a great leader in your life, your business, your career, and your relationships.

1. You won the race to be born in the first place.

So if you decide to change you`re not doing something new but returning to your natural state.

Because before you came onto earth in the first place you had to win the race of up to 100 million other sperm and be the one that made it to your mother’s egg. And when you got that far you had to survive the ups and downs of her life for 9 months before you even had a chance to take a breath.

And as breath is the only thing that will make your brain become automatically fuelled every day there is no doubt you are a miracle.

As when you were born you were the first of your kind. Your very existence meant that you had the capability to one day grow the human race and multiply life on earth. Those innate abilities mean you were born to lead.

But it doesn’t mean you have to lead traditionally. Because all you need to be is yourself in the best way possible.

2. If you’re able to read this then you`re educated.

Now I know that may sound dismissive to you but it’s true. Because if you’re able to read that basic sentence then you`re able to understand it so long as you were taught properly. And it’s more than likely that you were.

Because by the year 2020 around 90% of the world’s population have received at least a primary education.

With that in mind, all you have to do is put what you learned into action in some new way and when you do that’s where you begin to lead.

3. Leading begins by going out there and doing something before most others.

And once you do that it doesn’t matter if you succeed or fail. As once you`ve tried you`ll have experienced being a leader. So you don’t have to wait around for a job promotion to become a manager or supervisor because you can try something in the world of entrepreneurship and when you do you’ll be innovating in some way or another.

4. As the majority of people won’t take the risk to go first.

Because they fear failing.

Yet it’s from failure that you learn. And when you learn you can improve and lead the way better in the future.

5. If you see a problem then fix it.

Because many people will either ignore a problem, steer away from it, or expect others to solve it. But if you choose to spend your time, money, and energy to fix it you`ll be leading the way.

6. If you continue to learn about the future you`ll see opportunities for growth before others do.

And once you see the opportunities you can take the advantage that they present to you. By being the first mover on these advantages you`ll lead the way. And that’s where the rewards are there for leaders who keep looking forward are pushing ahead.

So what are you waiting for?

By the time it takes for you to flick your remote control button from one channel to the next all you have to do is lead the way and see what happens next!
