6 Ways To Stop Worrying About What Other People Think
If you`re thinking about other people you can't be thinking about yourself so it's important to address that balance and take back your power
“Live and let live!”
Is a short saying that can last forever.
Yet there are so many people that don’t live by this. Instead, they are overly concerned by what others think of them.
Human nature over the millennia dictates that there are many people who get caught up with the thoughts of others. Some use it as motivation to get things done and others open their ears so much that they allow others’ opinions to stop them from starting to be a success in the first place.
They procrastinate overdoing things simply because of what others think.
And yet they are not even psychic!
Because they don’t know what people think but use it as a reason to not even get started into doing something that will help them in life. If you think of it none of it makes any sense.
These are intelligent people who have a great ability to do great things in life. But they cease even trying because of what others think.
Or what they think they think.
It’s crazy when you think of it!
But then again I don’t know if you`re thinking about it now because I`m not bothered about what others think.
Yet I do know others that are. And they fail to try things in life and this continually stops them in their tracks. From there regrets form and they always wonder ‘what if?’.
And it’s not a good way to live your life.
So after reflecting on it all I’ve come up with 6 ways to stop worrying about what other people think:
1. Know that others are more worried about their problems than yours.
Most people are so stuck in their heads that they don’t have enough clarity to get out of it. Their muddled in their thoughts and wondering how to get out of them and take action to move forward with even one of them.
And all they do is become used to is giving too much time and attention to too many thoughts. In doing so they avoid the one thought that will give the maximum jolt in moving them forward to the most positive ends.
2. If people are jealous about your level of success it’s probably because they are not happy about where they`re at with their quest for success.
And that’s more of a compliment to you than an insult. Because if they are jealous it means they lack some form of perceived success themselves. And they probably are confused as to how you got there and they aren’t on that path themselves.
3. If you`re concentrating on what you need to do properly then you won’t have time to worry about what other people are thinking.
Because your brain can only do one thing at a time. You think it can multitask but in truth, it cannot. And it certainly can’t be worrying about anything and then thinking about being proactive and positive with another thing because the fear centers of your brain overrule any organizational parts.
So you`ll never be able to succeed if this is the case.
4. If you`re passionate about what you`re doing other people’s opinions won’t matter to you.
Because passion always wins in the long run.
And whatever short-term problems that get in the way of your passion you`ll begin to be intrigued about solving so you can get back to receiving that pleasure in the short and longer-term.
5. When you`ve planned out what you’re doing properly you`ll be fully confident you can attain it so if people aren’t in that plan you won’t be bothered about them.
As your brain works in a way that when it sees things laid out in front of it and knows there is a structurally planned and organized way of getting from one place to another it learns and rationalizes with this in place. Then from seeing it and having drawn and written it out in front of yourself you’re focus is sharp. You know what you have to do.
And if you study that drawn-out and written plan enough your focus will be attuned to following these steps to get to success uninterrupted by any other thoughts.
6. Once you begin to attain things you`ll see it as a positive and know that others’ thoughts will disintegrate as they are not created by you.
Because your achievements are a result of the focused intention you`ve taken to get there. And having planned it out and noticed how you achieved it you`ll realize other people’s destructive thoughts were not welcomed into the plan and so have nothing to do with the eventual success that you will attain.
And from there you can live your life and not ever worry about the misgivings of others or their opinions of you along the way.
After all, you`ll have success and won’t be in a place of need for them to want you.
Rather, you`ll be able to truly ‘live and let live’ just as the old saying goes!
