7 Big Lessons Life Has Taught Me

Although I`m far from an old man I`m content that I`ve learned enough by middle age to know there are certain lessons in life that’ll aid me as I age

When you block yourself off from learning you`ll begin to fail in life.

Because things change and when they do you need to be aware of them so you`re not left behind.

But there are other things I`ve learned along the way too and I keep them in mind as I journey throughout life. Without reflecting on the lessons I`ve learned I am moving forward without wisdom.

So here are 7 of the biggest lessons that life has taught me:

1. Once you do an accredited degree from a top university you will always have the qualification for your entire life.

Now don’t get me wrong there’s a lot wrong in the way the field of education in this world is set up, but if you can attain a degree you`ll have it forever. Better again once you get it and if you can work in the industry of what it qualifies you to do you`ll have gained credibility in that world. And from there you`ll meet people in that industry to mix with.

That’s where more opportunities lie because once people know you and realize you can be trusted they’ll have you in mind for when they have opportunities to share.

2. Although having lots of money is great unless you use it well it won’t last forever.

Because money will go.

And if more people know you have it to begin with they`ll be nicer to you and offer you more nice things in your life too. And although these nice things are great to have you`ve to be very careful from who you receive them.

As unfortunately some people will have bad intentions and want to take advantage of you because you are better off than them. They`ll do their best to lead you astray because all they have in mind is getting you on their side and being able to control the money you have in your bank account.

3. But money does grow if you invest it well.

And once you avoid the people that are only there to take advantage of you you`ll notice there are many great people out there who you can invest your money in. And the fantastic thing is you don’t need a whole lot of money to do this.

Even a thousand dollars or euro if smartly invested can make your riches grow.

And if you chose an innovative business or service and the business is seeking an investment of an amount you’re comfortable with then they`ll be very grateful for your support. And they may even allow you to become a shareholder in the business as well!

4. You will grow old and things will change in your body but you can slow it all down you can age gracefully too.

So if you look after yourself when you`re young it’s an investment into your health as you grow older. Of course, you`ll want to enjoy yourself in life too but by looking after your body as you do that you`ll be making the best investment into your future. And it’ll pay you back many times as you age.

Because if you learn about your body when you’re young it’ll look after you better later on.

5. If you treat people well when you are young although you may not think it at the time you`ll probably meet those people again in the future.

Because life has a funny way of working itself out.

During these few decades that we are all given on earth, we often think we’ll never meet someone again but oddly you can often bump into a person further down the line. And when you do it can be a time when you need their attention, skills, knowledge, or perhaps even a favor from them.

So if you`ve treated them well when you initially knew them they’ll be more likely to help you out when you brush shoulders in the future.

6. No relationship lasts forever.

And as sad and as pessimistic as that sounds it’s true.

Because unfortunately, acquaintances drift in and out of your life, some friends will go away, and partners, family members, and others will die away.

So you need to cherish the time you have with each person and learn from everyone you meet because everyone teaches us something about ourselves whether you want to know it or not at the time.

7. Most people think short-term and if you think a bit longer you`ll always be ahead of the pack over time.

And that’s when you`ll see opportunities before they`ll see them.

Once you see them you may not have the money or the time to take advantage of them but because you`re ahead you`ll be able to seek the expertise to help you and re-organize your life so that you can take advantage of the opportunity before the majority of others get there before you.
