7 Life Lessons To Avoid Regret

There’s nothing worse than living a life with retreat so if we can avoid it we will feel better throughout our lives and look back having achieved great clarity for the time we spent on earth

“Regrets, I’ve had a few But then again, too few to mention”

Were words in a song written by Paul Anka , Gilles Thibaut , Claude Francois and Jacques Revaud.

Yet barely anyone can remember who they are. None of their names bounce off a piece of paper or screen and make you excited. But they did teach us a lot about life.

And if we can learn a lot about our life from others then we can try to avoid the same mistakes ourselves. After all who wants to make mistakes and not enjoy life?

One who knocked the most out of life was the most famous singer of these very lines, the great Frank Sinatra.

Sinatra sang those lines like it was his anthem. He put his heart and soul into them. His version was the most credible because Sinatra had that edge about him.

Although he was good-looking and charming when he sang those words it was clear he meant every word that came out of his mouth. And that’s the thing about singing words as powerful as that, you have to mean them for others to believe you. Otherwise, people won’t listen and they won’t feel and resonate with the song.

Because let’s face it regrets are not something that any of us ever want to have but most of us do.

And rather than creating regretful situations in life, it’s much better to prevent making mistakes in life so you won’t get into a potentially regretful situation in the first place.

That’s why I’ve come up with these 7 experiences I`ve had in life that has taught me a lot about avoiding regretful situations and decisions:

1.Always live a life with gratitude because you have more than most in this world and things are never as bad as they seem.

Now I know that sounds as if it’s easy for me to say it but it’s true for everyone. Because no matter how down and out you are there is always hope. Because when you`ve truly lost everything you`re no longer alive.

Because being alive is the greatest gift you can have.

And if you don’t have that then you`ve no chance at having any material thing or having a better time in the future.

So if you have life you have hope.

Sure you may lose opportunities, money, and friends, but once you`re alive you always have a chance to improve and seek out new opportunities, some money, and people because they’ll always be those things out there and once you have gratitude to be alive you`ll begin to see them.

2. Doing things voluntarily is a great way to learn about life and to work in an area you`re not qualified to work in.

And when you work for free it’s a great way to learn about other types of people and for them to feel gratitude towards you. From there you can easily foster new relationships and ask those people around you to teach you about the business or industry. You can learn firsthand about the ups and downs of it when others need to pay for it in school or college.

And as you`ve less responsibility as a volunteer, can usually set your limited amount of hours and are making fantastic networking connections for the rest of your life by doing so.

You`re helping others who need to be helped and understanding what it’s like to help others without seeking any monetary value which deepens your gratitude and your ability in life.

3. When you`re a young adult you meet the most amount of people in your life so you have to select the right people to be around most of the time.

And at that time of life, you have the most energy, time, and opportunity for the first time in your adult years and if you take advantage of that it can set you up for the rest of your life. But many people avoid doing that. Rather they waste time with people that won’t uplift them and even those that’ll drag them down.

But time is all we have and the funny thing about is we’re never guaranteed how much of it we have.

Because things can change in an instant so it’s important to have the correct people around you if you want to move forward in all aspects of life.

4. It’s never too late to change in life.

So if you do spend too much time with the wrong people in your early adult years and you want to change your ways then you can. And you can become uplifted by others if you break the cycle of who is dragging you down.

But you must make that choice and trust there are better people out there for your purposes as you age.

5. Life will throw you curveballs and all you can do is stand up and bat it out of the park.

Because even if you think you`re in control things can go very wrong very quickly and you`ll be tested to your most when that happens. But you must stay resolute and true to your intentions. Because tough times come to everyone and even if you think others are doing well in their minds it’s not always what they want for themselves.

And once you stand up to your issues you’ll be more certain of chasing down your ambitions when things turn around in the future. From there you`ll be able to grasp more opportunities when they come your way.

6. Even though you may fail at things it doesn’t mean that experience is not valuable or a waste of time.

Because everything in life is a lesson.

And although we’re not sure at the time what we’re being taught we have to trust that there’s a future reason for all of this. As nothing stays the same in life so we have to be open to everything external that happens and go with the flow until we feel we’ve more control over situations.

7. Helping people for no reason has a funny way of paying you back in the future.

Because each time you connect with someone they`ll become aware of you as well. And if they are having a problem they’ll remember you forever and somewhere within themselves they’ll know they need to pay you back in some way.

And what better life to live than to help others and know they are grateful for the time you`ve given them?
