Positivity is a purpose that projects you to your hopes, dreams, and ambitions.

But many people who are used to thinking negatively find it challenging to begin thinking positively. Even though they’ve decided to change negative thoughts pop into their head and overrule new ones they`d prefer to give their energy to. That’s why you need to understand how to become a more positive thinker in your life.

Here are 7 ways you can think more positively in your life:

1. Hang around more positive people.

Although it may be difficult to rid yourself of all negative people in your life you need to minimize your contact with them. And that includes your family and so-called close friends if they are negative. Obviously, you`ll have to go to family engagements here and there and although you`ll spend intimate time with them you must have people in your life that are far more positive than them.

2. Make sure to write down your hopes and dreams.

Because when you write it down you`ll see what you’re thinking. When you can see your thoughts you can separate them from the tens of thousands of thoughts that are pinging around your brain every day.

And in this case when you see you believe.

When it’s written down it slows down the process of the thought which enriches your time spent on thinking about it. And that irons the thought deeper into your consciousness.

From there you can read back the thought and begin to contemplate it and rationalize how it will change your life for the better.

3. When you do write down what you want make sure you put a date by when you`ll achieve this hope, dream, or ambition.

Because when you write a date you`re putting yourself under positive pressure to think about how all other things in your life will need to be altered for you to attain that goal in the future. After all, you`ll still only have 24 hours in a day, 7 days in a week, and 12 months in a year from which to draw from. When you put the future date down it challenges you to shuffle around things that are already in your life so you can make room for your hopes, dreams, or ambitions.

4. Now that you’ve written down things it’s your personal promise to do something about it so you need to plan for how you do that.

And that means you will have to give up something. That something may be as big as giving up your job or a major relationship in life. Of course, that may make you feel afraid but if you can see what the absence of this job or relationship will do for you, you`ll begin to see the positive possibilities that lie in the future without these things stopping you.

And even though you may not be able to make that big change right now because you’ve already promised to yourself you`ll have firmly planted that thought in your brain.

And if your hopes, dreams, or ambitions are attractive enough to you the possibilities of achieving them will begin to force you to question how to change those things in your life.

5. Listen to positive things in the morning.

Because even though the morning may be busy you can do certain things while you listen.

Although you may not take in everything because your brain is not designed to multitask listening to a positive show in the morning will allow your positive energy to glorify your mood.

6. Being positive is no good without taking positive action.

Every day we take action wheatear we know it or not. But most of it is automatic action that you`ve pre-programmed into your subconscious to do.

Think about it for a second, when you wake up you probably already know on most days what you`re going to do from the early morning right up to the end of the day.

But if what you`re doing is not necessarily bringing you to a more positive destination then you`ll find yourself going through the motions.

You`ll be coasting along without enthusiasm yet your life demands more than the ordinary.

From rushing into work and getting the minimum work done to please your boss before you come home and eat the same foods simply because they’re easy to cook or fit into your time frame to the endless television or internet scrolling at the end of the day- you’ve much more potential than that.

7. Make a change a day that’s in a positive direction and watch how better your life will be after a month or so.

And you don’t even have to make big changes as small changes will do. In fact, it’s better to go small and get into the habit of doing things better in this way so you guarantee these positive changes become your overall behavior which in time will make you achieve your goals.
