How To Avoid Excess Caffeine But Gain Mental Clarity

Americans drink more coffee than tea, juice, and soda combined so it’s worth knowing that there is another option to take every morning that will give you mental clarity without any anxiety

Your reality is not my reality.

It can’t be.

“But surely what you experience is what I experience?”

You may ask.

Well, yes but not entirely. You see it’s not that I’m special or anything like that. I’m not some form of a superhuman. Or a superhero.

Far from it.

But I do experience things differently than you. And you experience things differently than other people too. We’re all different that way.

Still, that doesn’t mean that you’re maximizing your chances of seeing things clearly and doing so in a calm and relaxed manner.

So, let’s break it down.

No two people are the same. And while two people may be at the same event, watching the same TV show, or reading the same content neither of them are processing the information in the same way.

That’s what pushes us to ask the question of:

“What reality is?”

And I’d like to talk more about that. But, not for now. Instead, right now I’d prefer to take a look at what is a simple thing that you can drink to make sure you are experiencing mental clarity in life without any anxiety attached to it.

Because some of the differences in our various perceptions of reality are down to what we eat and drink every day.

And once we get into the habit of taking the same thing every day it becomes the thing that we rely off on, on a daily basis for our overall judgment. So that’s why I`d like to tell you about my habit of drinking green tea every morning.

Because drinking green tea in the morning time is one of the healthiest drinks you can take.

Why?

Well, for one thing, green tea is full of anti-oxidants. And although it tastes differently from normal tea it will wake you up naturally. Of course, it’s no coffee and not going to give you that initial kick that a strong cup of coffee gives you. But if you replace one with the other you’ll soon realize you don’t need that boost you thought you did.

Because green tea will give you clarity.

In drinking it you’ll be sharpening your brain and allowing your body to become more efficient in its daily workload. By choosing green tea of coffee you’ll be differentiating yourself from the vast majority of Americans who drink coffee nearly three times as much coffee as tea.

And because green tea is full of such good ingredients that fight against you gaining fat and cancerous causing cells in your body it gives you a great start to the day.

As well as that, it also lowers the risk of heart disease and improves overall brain function.

Whereas coffee is much richer in caffeine. Caffeine works by blocking the neurotransmission of adenosine and then allows for the firing of dopamine and norepinephrine. It allows for your brain to improve its memory, have greater vigilance and reaction time yet at the same time by taking it every day you can become over-reliant to spruce up your performance.

And as a result, this can alter your daily mood too.

Sure you may decide that these advantages outweigh the disadvantages and if everyone is taking coffee in your life that you can be moody together, but that’s not going to give you the full clarity of a particular situation or allow you to have better control of your perceived reality.

Still, if coffee is giving you that morning lift why should you want to change your habit of taking it?

But what if I were to tell you that I am a lifelong non-coffee drinker. And once in college, I took a few cups of coffee very early one morning to cram for a study session right before a final exam. And the results of this meant that I then perceived my exam table to feel as if it was shaking on my lap.

Now, you may well feel differently about this drink?

But that’s what happened to me, or so I thought at the time.

Then it begs the question:

“What is the reality that coffee drinkers perceive once they gulp back their cup of caffeine every morning?”

And the answers may mean that coffee drinkers are not as naturally sharp as they think they are.

In comparison, green tea contains around 28 milligrams of caffeine per cup whereas coffee contains over three times that amount. And as it’s unhealthy to take more than 400 milligrams of caffeine daily it’s worth keeping green tea in mind as an option for a hot cupa in the morning.

By taking too much caffeine results in behavioral changes that can occur in humans. From irregular sleeping patterns, insomnia, anxiety to even convulsions, tremors, and hallucinations these temporary changes can become a permanent reality over time. So by taking too much caffeine in a short period you can change your overall perception of what’s going on in the world.

And with that, your clarity is transformed too.

But if you try switching from coffee to green tea in the morning maybe our realities will be more alike after all?
