How To Get Easy Sales When Facebook and Instagram Crash
If you want to know how a younger person is just speak to them when major social media platforms crash because then you`ll understand their true level of clarity for themselves, people, business, and life itself
Today Facebook crashed.
Oh just in case you didn’t hear so did Instagram.
When it happened, I heard it online, and being honest I didn’t bother to refresh my screen or check if my account was down too. You’d think that would be a natural reaction. But, being honest, I didn’t bother.
Why would I?
It’s just an app. Well, two apps actually.
But it’s not me. And it won’t define me.
Sure I have created years of content on there and it could all be gone forever. As I write I think that if I do publish this article and all my content is gone then years of my work is gone. And after publishing this I’ll be unable to ask for my data back from Mr. Zuckerberg and company without him pulling up this article and saying I’m pretty chilled about it all and maybe they don’t owe me much at all.
Of course, though, it would be nice if he is reading I`d like him to give me back my 100, 000 followers because that took years to nurture.
Ah but, if they go, they go.
Once they go somewhere they appreciate then I`m happy. Because it’s not as if they will have died even if the platform dies itself.
So I’m not stressed.
Because followers come and go. That’s the nature of online platforms.
Come to think that’s the nature of life too.
I mean how many of us have the same people loving us all of our lives?
Realistically other than our few family members there are only ever a handful of people that will be by your side throughout your life. And that’s all anyone needs. If it’s a true friendship we tend to prefer having a smaller group of people because it’s more intimate and the circle of trust is easier to have.
Yet before social media blew up around the turn of the century ordinary unknown people had much fewer ways of gaining a reputation internationally. Unless something big happened to them in their life that was pretty unique to all humans and it was picked up by international news by chance, many people were unknown outside of their street.
But when social media platforms popped up then nobodies became somebodies by the way of being social media celebrities.
Yet mental health issues also spiraled in parallel.
Then there is the business of it all.
Because once a social media platform crashes hundreds of millions of businesses all around the world panic. As they have millions invested in online advertising it puts panic through the system that allows local businesses to become global brand leaders via the power and craft of online marketing.
But none of this matters because the fundamentals are the same.
People are people.
And if you want attention you can always contact a friend. Or maybe it’s a good time when a social media app is down to admit to yourself that you need a real-life friend to begin with. Because relying on online attention is not the way we as humans have been born to be.
Because we were born to be present in front of people.
Anything other than that is a form of anxiety. And when this gets hold of peoples’ behavior their way of building rapport is dead. Although it may just be a marginal slump at first people notice when you’re not completely present.
And by being outside of a person’s presence you’re not going to truly get into their attentions.
So if you’re trying to build long-term rapport it’s not going to happen. And by building this deepened connection that’s how bigger amounts of money are invested in people and their businesses.
Because we are wired to see before we believe.
And what better way to see than being in front of someone to see all the lines on their faces, the dilation of their eyes, and their natural reaction when you greet them?
As it’s in those moments that you begin to really know someone.
Being present is the best virtual reality you`ll ever have and you don’t have to worry about the wording you need to create a text as your body language will overshadow it anyways.
So as I come to the end of a day of social media outage and potential stress I`m even more sure of what I’ve written. Because I know the core of networking is from person to person in real life. And that’s how you can make better relationships and potential deals that can last a lifetime too.
To cash in all you have to be is yourself and know if social media were to evaporate forever overnight there’ll be plenty of people who are seeking your attention. And maybe once you give it to them they’ll give you some money before you can reply to them
“Whats ‘that` app again?”
