How to Solve Problems and Become Healthier Too
By beginning a daily practice of yoga you`ll deepen your awareness of what reality is and allow yourself to solve problems, see opportunities, and deepen relationships in your life
I would bend over backward to help someone out.
I really would.
But I do think most people would too. That’s if they think they could.
You may disagree with me because you start thinking about all the people in your life who haven’t given you a helping hand in the past. Yet maybe they’ve failed to help you not because they are people who are generally unhelpful but rather ones that are less aware of your need for help in the first place.
Now that may seem odd to you because I`m sure you’ve been in more than a few pickles in the past but sometimes the things that are presenting as problems in our lives are not clear to others as being problems at all.
Instead, these people that can help you may see your problem merely as a challenge and not that big an issue at all.
But then again, they are not feeling the emotions of the situation. And you may be. Because we get wrapped up in a veil of emotions when things threaten our need for safety and we feel our basic needs are not being met.
Yet we forget that others see our problems objectively and we shine a light on the problem like it’s our ugly tattoo that we can’t get rid of, regret bringing upon ourselves, and don’t want anyone to see.
However, underneath it all, we would like help even if we don’t want to ask for it. This may be because of the shame it may bring to us for admitting the mistake of being sitting ducks for the problem in the first place.
Then there are times when we have problems and we presume others notice our plight. When in reality they lack the awareness that anything is wrong at all. And this happens more often than you know in this busy world of ours where many people have their heads buried in social media, are being inundated with emails, phone calls, and messages, and are living a rat-race lifestyle.
Being unaware of others and their problems is the first sign that you’re not living in the moment and perhaps over-stressing in your life.
Because most of us rank our daily tasks as being the first things to look after in a given day and then we look to others we can help after that. But if you’re not noticing others’ problems then how can you be sure you are managing yours properly at all?
The answer is you can’t.
As you first need to solve a problem and then wait for how future situations play out and test the solution that you’ve provided. In the meantime, you can improve the way you assess things to assure you are avoiding potential problems for yourself and others and to also make sure you’re not missing possible opportunities that may be presented to you right under your nose.
Because if that happens then that’s when a sharpening of their awareness is needed.
Thankfully there are ways of doing this that will ignite peoples’ awareness.
And not all of them are as obvious as you may think looking in from the outside.
One such tool that will broaden your awareness is doing the ancient practice of yoga.
Yoga is about unifying the mind and the body together. And although it does not preach to being a neurological developmental tool, I can assure you it is.
That’s how effective it is.
However, many people in the western world see yoga as being a form of exercise that is there to change your body’s suppleness. And because of that, they don’t see it as being very beneficial to your overall wellbeing or mental clarity. After all so long as their bodies can walk and run, and bend up and down by using the major joints most people are pretty satisfied with that.
Yet yoga does more things than work on the lengthening of the muscles.
Because it uses your body as a conduit to work on your mind and the deeper part of your brain as well.
In beginning, to practice yoga you get to feel the benefits of feeling loser in your body, and then after some time of practicing it, your body becomes more efficient in its movement.
The next stage of improvement allows you to feel as if your perception of outside stimuli changes and you begin to think and feel about things differently than you did before your of practice yoga began in the first place.
In all, you mature and experience the true reality that exists in this world.
And that means you begin to see things from not only your point of view but others too. As you start to see how they are and compare them to your place in life too.
And that’s where empathy lies.
But it’s also where true self-awareness is.
So before you or someone close to you has their next big problem know there are other ways to look at its potential solutions.
And those solutions can come from adopting a daily practice of yoga.
Because it will not only make your body flexible but it will open your mind to view things from more perspectives too.
Sure you`ll be challenged to bend backward but that’s there to make you see things from a different angle and that’s where the opportunity to grow lies.
