The 4 Attributes Required For Your Success

Achieving what you set your heart on takes effort so you need to follow certain proven guidelines that will guarantee you`ll make it to the end

Once upon a time, you couldn’t get where you wanted to go without a map.

But now those days are gone.

Because these days you can get anywhere on planet earth even without a map. Instead, all you have to do is look up your GPS. It’s that easy.

Such is the development in technology over the years you can now get to the exact location of anyone in the world by using this application. Gone are the days of having to struggle with opening a big clumsy map that can take up the whole front seat of your car. And back when the map had to open out during a journey to wherever there was still no guarantee you`d get to the exact point where you wanted to go.

Yet a map was part of my youth if you wanted to go anywhere.

But that only concerned going to geographical locations. It didn’t dictate the location you wanted to find yourself in the future. And technological advancements such as GPS won’t make that any better either.

Because the place you will find yourself in the future will be dictated only by yourself and your desire to get there.

· As seeing is believing

And although that’s a common phrase it’s very true. You must have a vision if want to see where you will be in the future.

Because when you do see and believe you can reverse engineer where you view yourself as being in the future back to where you are in the present moment.

For example, if you`re unsuccessful now and you want to be in the future then you need to see yourself as that success in the future. From that podium, you must make sure every point along the path to success is contained in your overall vision.

Once it is then you can begin to feel what that success is like.

And being with that feeling will help you confirm whether your initial instinct for success fits with you or not. If it feels like you thought it would at the beginning of your vision then you need to break down the parts of what it takes to achieve that feeling for real. Once you do you`ll give yourself manageable incremental tasks that you can aim to reach.

Sure, they may be challenging but once you break them down into smaller chunks you will be able to attain them.

From there you need to set time limits on when you’re going to achieve each task.

· You must be fuelled by a determination to succeed

Because your journey will take time. And although you may break the bigger aims down into manageable chunks of time you may go over this time budget in attaining your success. And when you fail to make the mark of time that you`ve set out for yourself at the beginning it will bring about a huge personal frustration.

And that’s when your will to get there will be questioned.

Your determination to succeed may then produce doubts and you`ll be challenged to give up on all you`ve worked towards by then. Of course, the easy thing to do is give up because that will take no effort. But if you choose to keep on going you may you’ll feel like you`re off the beaten but you’re still moving forward.

Yet that’s when you need to take stock of where you’ve come from.

Once you do you can pivot to the next logical point along your journey. Sure, you may not be able to go the direct route you first planned for but if you find a detour it may turn out to be a better pit stop for you to learn along the way.

· That’s when you must recommit to being persistent

Because if you do you may be rewarded simply because you kept going. After all, if it’s difficult for you it’s probably going to be challenging for others as well.

But you need to commit to this persistence before you negotiate your journey ahead.

And when you do you need to be all-in on the remaining journey and know that there are no guarantees along the way. But that there will be at the end.

Because that’s where the prize lies.

· You must have a consistency of approach

Because once you do others will see you mean business. And therefore people will respect your continuous commitment to where you want to go. Although they may not think you`re going to succeed in what you’re doing by having consistently they`ll see your long-term intent.

That’s when someone will notice your commitment to whatever cause you`ve your heart set on.

And that person could change your life. Now they may not be the ones that will reward you with your success but if you stay alert to what they do and say you`ll notice clues like bread crumbs that are sprinkled along their path to success and all you have to do is follow them.

That’s why hunger is your greatest guide and not even maps or a GPS will beat them in the end.
